Story Behind The Song
Doing a tour in the south we came into a bit of static from Klan supporters, us being New Yorkers and Cuban to boot.
My good friend Marc got into it with them but no blood was shed, our performance got a standing ovation which angered some people...it was a bit of a mess.
So, I asked myself this question...is this part of success? and do I really want it?
Rather stay at home and write a song with my guitar but that dam old spotlight keeps me coming back to play!

Lyrics
Should I grab it?
Everywhere I look I see a stranger with a face
So, I check the map and wonder what new stage I'm in
Endless night of parties and the champagne overflows
Ready fans are waiting want to see who I take home that night
Do I really want it?
Should I grab it?
Limos are a classy way to get around the town
Cars that match my wardrobe help to keep my taxes down
Sunny days of touring cross the country on a bus
Scenic passing daydreams mixed with hopes we don't get lost down south
Sometimes when we play there is some static with the sound
And the plane that takes us has a problem coming down on time
Do I really want it?
Should I grab it?
It's our agent calling to do Tokyo and Rome
All our groupies waiting, pounding, yelling 'sing a song'
Headlines in at Billboard make a small villa sweet home
Playing at the Garden, rock the house with our new songs
Rather stay at home and write a tune on my guitar
But that damn old spotlight always keeps me going back to play
Every time we're on we almost always make a friend
So, I'll check the map and wonder where we're going to again
Do I really want it?
Should I grab it?
