Story Behind The Song
I was in a subway station with my son who has found Christ (I'm very happy for him) and it led to a conversation as to how do you know which God is the one and only true God?...the conversation went on and we came home and he said to his sister...'I'm trying to have a serious conversation about religion with Dad and he brings in the Annunaki'!...I laughed and said...'hey maybe I'm wrong but what if we're descendants from an Ancient Alien tribe called the Annunaki?'...it's possible...we all laughed and when my son left to go back to Florida where he lives I sat down and wrote 'Do I Believe' ...I left it without a question mark because I didn't want to challenge..I wanted to state that maybe Christians, Jews and Muslims and everyone else is right and there are multiple Gods or maybe there's one God OR maybe we're on our own with only our beliefs.
Song Description
After a discussion about religion with my son I sat down and wrote 'Do I Believe'...I was not looking to write it...I was not taking notes or going through the 'process' of a song writing assignment...It just came to me and once it got me I started to do research on the similarities found in the Bible, The Torah and the Holy Quran...and there are many but I could only include a few in the song.

Lyrics
And so I've asked you before and still no answer
I've read your book till final verse where you're the master
Of invitations to believe in your creation of day and night earth and sky
Is there a reason we exist in your likeness is this out of kindness?
So why do you give and take away so easily?
Your flaming sword and tree of life will show the way where?
To multiply or live and die deep East of Eden
Your 40 days and 40 nights will cleanse us holy while drowning slowly
Oh those were so much simpler times the universe and all mankind
Do I Believe? Do I Believe? Do I Believe? Do I Believe?
And there was hunger in your land a thirst for knowledge
The simple humbling of a child may rule our kingdom
You touched the blind so we could see but nothing's changed in centuries
Do I Believe? Do I Believe? Alif Lam Min, Alif Lam Min
Life is only a transient shade, like heavy rains down from the clouds
So why are we to believe, the righteous path has been unseen
It's said the truth may set you free in light or darkness
In 632 or 4 BC where it all started
Those seven stars and candlesticks have built a house for all to see
But still believers can't agree on who should rule and what will be?
Do I Believe? Do I Believe? Alif Lam Min, Alif Lam Min
I do believe
