Story Behind The Song
I wrote it by the piano at my countryplace in rural Finland. Just got into that bluesy feeling and let it transform into this piece.
Song Description
A hooky, smoky pop tune with a bluesy/jazzy retro feel, slightly reminiscent of the Kinks "Sunny Afternoon". Structure is AAB, like old jazz standards.

Lyrics
A Heartache On The Side
Sitting in a bar with nothing left to spend
Just an empty glass
and a love that reached the end
So I´ll just have the blues
and a heartache on the side
Feeling so alone with nowhere left to go
Nowhere left to hide, there´ll be no more show
Just these broken dreams
and a heartache on the side
No more sense, like an old fat boxer I´m wasting away
Count to ten, I went down when she went away
I can hear the laughs of others having fun
But I´m just having teardrops
and a heartache on the side
