Story Behind The Song

The verse and the chorus of this piece came into my head while doing work unrelated to music. I picked up a guitar and recorded the riffs so I would not forget them. I revisited them a week later and created the song. The name, "The Future is Today" was chosen to describe the hopefulness and gratitude one can feel in any moment when mind, body and spirit are in sync.

This song is about transforming restless energy into a focused course of action that leads to a triumphant resolution. It is challenging to listen to this piece and not feel like dancing and celebrating in the moment. Anthemic in form, this song is meant to inspire an internal soiree that will stick with you for a very long time :-)
