Story Behind The Song
As someone who battles a severe movement disorder that was aquired in my mid 30's, I have been in a battle for many years with this life changing health challenge.
This song was written about facing this and finding the courage with God to keep pushing through. Because of the depths of struggle with what feels beyond my control, it made me think of people who battle other health issues, including addictions, depression, etc.
This song is for everyone who is in a battle with the devil and wants to be lifted out of the depths of pain, and find healing. With God all things are possible.

Taking Back My Life
(Music & Lyrics written by Pamela Bennett (PJ Bennett) )
I can see you
See your shadow on the wall
And I can feel you
In my veins as you crawl
Seducing me with madness
You won't let me walk away
Now I can see you clearly
You're the devil in disguise
Release me from this hell
I'm taking back my life.
Ain't giving you my soul no no
No, I'm taking back my life
If I crave you
It don't mean I want your lust.
And if I give into you again,
It will turn me into dust.
Now I can see you clearly
You're the devil in disguise.
Release me from this hell
I'm taking back my life.
Ain't giving you my soul no no
I'm taking back my life.
(Release me from this hell)
I'm taking bak my life.
Taking back my life.
