This song was created as I witnessed a sad break up between two people I love. The love, I drew off of my own feelings of what would be going through my mind during that time.
Song Description
Dear is intended to sound like a raw demo, to help paint the picture of a story. The story is one person, alone in their thoughts, in an awkward situation with the person they love. The guitar, is supposed to sound similar to how this person feels, basic emotion, heart beating faster than the words, clumsy even. The intimacy of the imperfect vocals as if one is about to cry.. being overwhelmed with emotion. The finished track, is the original scratch track. We felt it captured the essence of this person's experience in that moment of time. This song is about that one moment or 10 seconds of time between these two people. Not knowing what the other person is feeling, but this person feeling overwhelmed with emotion, quietly in their heart and mind.
