Story Behind The Song

A friend wrote a poem about visiting a homeless shelter in Hawaii, I told him I'd write some music for it. He said he wanted an island feel to it. I think I nailed it. If you've ever been to Hawaii, you can be in the middle of natural paradise, but right around the corner are folks struggling to survive. That's the mindset behind this song.
