Story Behind The Song
I was watching a show on T.V. about the little girls in the dance classes and how the moms are always pushing the kids to be a good entertainer. In this case the mom has created a "Frankenstein" where the girl for the lack of better term, gets brainwashed into the dancing and all her other interests growing up get pushed aside.
Song Description
The girl grows up in a broken home where the father is a musician and spends too much time on the road and the girl tene to find her own entertainment in the dance classes. She was at on of her fathers gigs and saw how much fun everyone was having dancing on the dance floor. She thought since she was in dance class she could have just as much fun as the girls she saw in the bars flirting with all the cowboys.

Lyrics
ANGELWALK (updated)
LET ME TELL YOU 'BOUT A GIRL I KNOW DOWN IN SANANTONE.
SHE LIVES OUT WEST WHERE THE COWBOYS ALL COME FROM.
SHE LEARNS WHAT DANCE IS THE LATEST CRAZE,
THEN ADDS IN HER SEXY WAYS.
THEN BEFORE TO LONG,
ALL THE COWBOYS WANT TO TAKE HER HOME.
NOW BACK IN SCHOOL, SHE NEVER HAD TO MUCH FUN.
BUT WHEN SHE'S OUT ON THE DANCE HALL FLOOR,
THE GIRLS NUMBER ONE.
SHE SHUFFLES TO THE RIGHT, WHEN SHE SLIDES,
CLICKS HER HEELS THREE TIMES,
AND THEN GLIDES.
THE BOYS TRY TO MAKE THEIR MOVES,
BUT THE LADY STAYS IN HER GROOVE.
(chorus)
NOW SHE'S THE GIRL THAT STARTED THE ANGELWALK.
WHEN SHE'S OUT THERE DOING HER MOVES,
ALL THE GIRLS TALK.
THEY DON'T LIKE THE WAY SHE MOVES ON THE DANCE HALL FLOOR.
**BUT WHEN SHE'S DONE ALL THE GIRLS,
WANT TO LEARN THE ANGELWALK.
(instrumental)
(full chorus)
