Lyrics

On Bended Knees - Mark S. Ludes (MSL) © 2002

1st verse:
I don't know about our future,
but I hope that it's still there.
Don't know that much about your past,
But it's gone so I don't care...

2nd verse:
I do know that I want you,
and I hope you want the same.
I can show you that I love you,
if you will take my name...

Chorus: (harmony)
Just tell me that you love me
Just tell me - would you, please
I've got to know you want me
I'm down on bended knees ...

3rd verse:
So when that question comes up,
it may come down to this,
Could I be your one true love?
Or is there someone that you'll miss...

4th verse:
Well think about it hard my girl.
Be sure you think it through.
For me you are the only one.
I'd love to marry you...

repeat Chorus:
Just tell me that you love me
Just tell me - if you please
I've got to know you want me
I'm down on bended knees ...
Solo break

Last Verse:
I do know that I want you,
and I hope you want the same.
I can show you that I love you,
if you will take my name...

(repeat) Chorus...

Reminds me of an America song from the 70s. Vocal duet good. Guitar good.

Nice guitar work! The bass is cool, too, I want to hear a tiny bit more of it-just a notch or two up on the dial. Reminds me of Dylan. I like the lyrics, though some of the phrases are used a lot in songs. Try saying the same thing a new way. With my songs, I go line by line and rewrite the lyrics saying the same thing on each line but with different words a few times, and then take the best.

each guitar part has it's place, very well recorded and arranged. Love the groove, easy listening. Love the guitar work around the 2:40 mark would love to have heard more of this. Maybe turn that work into an extended solo and up a bit in the mix to lead into the ending. The lyric of course has universal appeal, hope tons of people give it a listen.

This is an old time feeling slow groovy blues rock song. Nice guitar work and bass groove. I like the singers voice very much for this style. Almost sounds like a Bob dylan. There is a nice layering of the voices.

nice laid back and cool track. it has a good bluesy vibe to it. good instrumentation throughout the track.
ideal music for just sitting back and listening too and absorbing

Nice vibe, chord changes & melody are fine, instrumentation is evocative & creates an engaging mood. Interesting double voice lead.
