Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song about a boss that I had once before I started playing music for a living. The man wouldn't learn my name, or any of the female employees names for that matter, and instead just called us sweetie and hon. On top of that, he would make explicit sexual comments to the male employees within ear shot of us. It was an uncomfortable work environment and it made me so angry that I wrote this song. I hope that my listeners find it relatable in some way.

Lyrics
Mr. boss man
oh, I have a name
Mr. boss man
come say it to my face
I know you think that you're in control
what you don't know
what you don't know
is I'm a big bad boss too
Did you think that you could
speak to me that way
Do it again and there will
be a price to pay
Cause I don't care what you're sayin
it's just a job quit playin
And I'm not your fucking slave
Mr. boss man
oh, I have a name
Mr. boss man
come say it to my face
I know you think that you're in control
what you don't know
what you don't know
is I'm a big bad boss too
Don't you know I know you know
I know my worth
And if I leave this job
you're gonna hurt
There's a hole in your pocket about my size
I can see the reflection in your eyes
Am I just a dollar sign
Mr. boss man
oh, I have a name
Mr. boss man
come say it to my face
I know you think that you're in control
what you don't know
what you don't know
is I'm a big bad boss too
Mr. boss man
oh I've got a thing to show you
It's right over here
Come take a look
A little birdie wants to tell you
That I am my own boss
