Story Behind The Song
Inspired by Don Miguel Ruiz' book, The Four Agreements. The chapter called "Be Impeccable with Your Word," struck a chord with me, as I had been thinking about the power of seemingly insignificant little words.

Lyrics
I Listen to You
(Lily Wilson, Mark Browne)
Now that you?ve got my attention
What have you got to say?
?Cause I have traveled too far in this direction
to turn away
I have opened up my heart
And I?m hangin? on every word
?Cause you just happen to have the most
beautiful voice I?ve ever heard
[CHORUS:]
And I listen to you
I listen to you
And I?m hoping you will make those words ring true
?Cause I listen to you
You have told me your story
And I have shown you my scars
And we have lain on our backs with the darkness
and with the stars
So if I?m careful with all of my wishes
And you are careful with your promises
Will we finally know how much we matter
to someone else?
[CHORUS]
You tell me love me
then you say that you can?t
You might have to leave
And you might just come back
Do you know what you do to me
Do you feel the weight of these words?
[CHORUS]
