Story Behind The Song
Since we all have regrets and often wish we could change the past, I wanted to write a song expressing hope that, while you may have done some things wrong or missed some opportunities, there is still hope if you just change your attitude.
Song Description
Lost love, lost opportunities, wasted hours, self-recrimination...all of these are behind this song, which is an ode to snapping out of emotional stasis, and grabbing control of your life back. It's a melancholy but ultimately encouraging song about seizing the day, right here, right now.

Lyrics
LOST TIME (Words and music by Kevin Renick) ©2011
Lost time, waitin' things out
Lost time, feeling your doubt
Maybe you're thinkin' it'll turn around this year
Maybe you're hoping you can overcome those fears
But when the change comes, don't look back
And if the darkness calls, don't look back
It's your lifetime
Lost time, wishin' so hard
Lost time, ooh the dreams you discard
Maybe it's time that you see things a different way
Maybe you're overdue to seize the day
And when the pain comes, stand your ground
And if you're shaking still, just don't fall down
It's your lifetime
(Instrumental)
Lost time, no way to get back
Lost time, oh you think you're off track
Maybe it's time that you listen to your heart
Maybe you're safe now to make a brand new start
And when that fear comes, turn it back
And if the ghosts reach out, don't look back
It's your lifetime.
