Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song about my brother who we adopted when he was a year old. My family is white and my brother is Indian and Black. It is a song about growing up together and feeling we are of the same kin no matter what our skin color.

Lyrics
You arrived when you one year old and you were such a sight to behold. A child wrapped in a blanket of blue it was like a childhood dream come true. Yet I was the shade of lillies white and you were the color of the dark night. We grew to feel we were of the same kin, it did not matter the color of our skin.
Chorus: My world was made better by you. OUr bond is strong and true. And like the stars that could not sparkle without the black of night, you came into my world and brightened its light.
People would always stop and stare but we were young and didn't care. As we grew older it broke my heart why did they want to tare you apart.
Some think they are better because of their shade, Oh what a huge mistake they have made. We all arrive from the same place so what does it matter this thing we call race.
Chorus
We were wolven into a tapestry brother , sister you and me. It was put together with lots of love. We were both brought here from up above.
