Lyrics
That Old Jukebox
John Kelly Wilson
Does that old jukebox on the wall just gathering dust
Does it still play the songs like it did way back then like it did just for us
I remembered what we had and can still feel it strong
I can almost feel your touch but I know you're gone
But that old jukebox makes me feel like you never left.
You crossed my mind the other day when I was drivin through town and I smiled
I hadn't had any reason to be back there in quite awhile
But business had me passin through and I thought of you
So I stopped at our old favorite place
And started walkin right down that old memory lane
It looked the same as I remembered
Even still had that jukebox on the wall
So I asked the man workin the counter was it still just a quarter a song
Well he just laughed and said yes, and gave me change
And I punched in our old favorites as Patsy started singin
And that old jukebox made me feel like you never left
So as the songs played one by one I found myself oh so lost in the past
Remembering what we had and how it all slipped away so fast
Last I heard you'd left town chasin fortune and fame, made a million or two, never married they say
And as I thought about that I got a call from my wife on my phone
You see I realized what we had I found again and have such a loving home
I have a wonderful wife, three kids, a dog and never feel alone
So as I think about what might have been with us it leaves me sad
But then I smile and know there's nothing better than what I have as a husband and dad.
Does that old jukebox on the wall just gathering dust
Does it still play the songs like it did way back then like it did just for us
I remembered what we had and can still feel it strong
I can almost feel your touch but I know you're gone
But that old jukebox makes me realize now that I'm blessed
Oh ya that old jukebox makes me realize now that I'm blessed
Thank god that old jukebox makes me realize how I'm blessed
