Story Behind The Song
This song is snarkier than my usual offering. I really don't know where it came from but, once I got going, all the pent-up outrage from relationships gone awry (mostly watching others but also based on my own experiences) came to the surface and .... voila! Bill Bentley really captured the outrage in his arrangement and, just for kicks, closed the song with the original version I sang for him in the studio - so you can hear the transformation from my raw basic tune to the finished version.

Lyrics
You Know What You Did
V1: I don't know how you live with yourself
Knowing what you've done
Maybe you think the end is worth the means
I can tell by that smug look on your face
You think that you've won
But victory isn't always what it seems
There's more to life than winning
Winning at any cost
Is what you've gained
Worth the love you've lost?
Cho: You know what you did
You know what you said
You know who you are
You know
V2: I thought I could put my faith in you
But I was betrayed
Forgot to remove the blindfold from my eyes
You don't know how it hurts me now
Knowing I've been played
My ears are bleeding from hearing all your lies
Maybe I was too trusting
But that's really nothing new
My mistake was placing my trust in you
Cho:
V3: Be careful what you wish for, dear
'Cause your wish may come true
But in a way you didn't anticipate
The dream that you've been chasing
May start chasing you
And once you realize it's just too late
Actions come back to bite you
That's what karma's for
Life has a way of evening up the score
