Story Behind The Song
It was in the wee hours of the morning and I was sitting in my music room, having been compelled to leave my cozy bedroom and find my guitar so I could find some chords to match the melody playing in my head. I didn't set out to write another heartbreak lament but, what are you going to do? When I took the song into the studio, it was in a nascent form so, after Bill Bentley worked his magic on it, we decided this was a co-writing effort.

Lyrics
Tomorrow I Will Start Again
In the wee hours of the morning
That is when you find me
Wandering and wondering
How to put the past behind me
I don't know, I don't know
If I can forgive and just forget
I hope one day it will be so
But it hasn't happened yet
Chorus:
Going through my life,
With everywhere I've been
Forgive, forget, life goes on
Tomorrow I will start again
Thinking back to those first days
And the feelings you awakened
It's hard to reconcile them
Now that my faith in you is shaken
You say, "Let it go, just let it go
Maybe love will magically return"
Maybe yes, maybe no
You get the trust you earn
Chorus
The tide ebbs and flows just like it's always done
Reminding us life carries on
It's not as if I spend my time
Caught up in longing and remorse
I'm well aware that love can change
And hearts will follow their own course
So I say let me go, just let me go
Let me go and I will walk alone
And trust that, if it should be so
The path will bring me home
Chorus
