Story Behind The Song
This song was inspired by my Father's recent passing in 2017.
I used the traditional song Wayfaring Stranger as the starting point, but wanted a more personal and modern aspect to the lyrics and music.
Song Description
My father introduced me to much art and music in my life. I wanted to thank him for that and create this song in his honor.
He was a Jazz bassist, so I played the bass solo in his big, thumping style.

Lyrics
I'm just a weary traveler
Looking for my way back home
I hear the grooves of my father
As he plays in the great unknown
I'm looking to our jamin'
On Heaven's grand stand
He taught me to hear the music
Guided by the touch of his hand
I'm just a weary traveler
Looking for my way back home
I hear the grooves of my father
As he plays in the great unknown
Now we're both jamin'
On Heaven's grand stand
He taught me to hear the music
Guided by the touch of his hand
