This Song In Part, Is A Memory Of My Late Sister's Words To Me From Decades Ago When Describing The Feeling She Had Giving Herself To God And Fully Accepting The Lord As Her Savior When She Said; "You'll Know When That Occurs, As A Joy Will Flood Your Heart" ... Sadly, She Passed Away From Early-Onset Alzheimer's After A Ten Year Battle In October 2014. The Song Had Been Completed Two Years Prior As Initially Inspired By The Words Of Our Pastor' Sermon During A Summer Mass For Sunday School Youth That Included My Son. He Was Quoting A Bishop Who Spoke At Their Retreat The Night Before When He Said; "Do You Love Jesus?" And "Are You In Love With Him?" ... I Had The Honor Of Singing "Only A Prayer Away" At The Confirmation Mass Later That October And Have Sung It At Every Confirmation Since, However, On October 24, 2014, The Day Of The Funeral, Where Twenty-Seven Years Earlier To The Day My Sister Had Sung For My Wife And I At Our Wedding In New Jersey, I Sang "Only A Prayer Away" For Her At The Skillman Bible Church In Dallas, Texas. As Fate/Faith Would Have It, Two Years Later, The Song Was Awarded A Semi-Finalist Finish In The Dallas Songwriter's Association 29th Annual Contest ... It Gives Me Great Joy That This Song Is Finding Its Way Into Various Charts And Channels With The Hope It Will Bring A Good Feeling To Those That Hear It ... GOD Is GOOD ...
