I was working on this and Wanda V. was hanging out. She heard me playing and picked up her fiddle. Next thing, we were gathering up the band and recording this in only a couple of takes. Some things just happen.

Sad eyed lady by a window.
Trying to ease her troubled mind.
Recalling tales of untold love
and shes lying with her eyes,
she says it doesn't matter anymore
as she hangs her head and cries.
CHORUS
But On and On and On she keeps on loving him
Although sometimes she wonders why.
And round and round and round her heart keeps spinning round
Its hard to hide the feelings when there are reasons deep inside.
They met in the summer.
They danced all night long.
He took her hand and she gave her heart
in the stray pastels of dawn.
Now it seems like a couple of lifetimes
since hes been gone.
CHORUS
He swore he would deliver
on all his promises and lies.
He would bring her diamonds and gold
that would sparkle like her eyes.
Still she sits alone this evening and no one sees her cry.
CHORUS and end.
