Story Behind The Song
80% of the people of this Country want, at a minimum, universal background checks for ALL gun purchases. Many people (myself included) are in favor of banning assault-style weapons. Congress, especially the Senate, along with the President, does NOTHING to stop these killings. This song is my reaction to their inaction. For once, I wish they would listen to the will of the people who elected them, and not the will of the NRA and the Gun Manufacturers.
Song Description
there were more mass killings in America than in any year since at least the 1970s. Of the 41 mass murders, 33 were carried out with guns, and in total, 211 people were killed in these attacks.

Answers I Don't Know

V1
I've been watching things from the corner of my eye
Sometimes it's just too hard to look straight on, I feel I might go blind
I've been listening, from the corner of my ear
Sometimes I can't believe what's been said is what I really hear
Pre
I don't need to answer questions
About the need to question
I need to ask the question bacause the answers I don't know
CH 1
When I see a father grieving and a mother who is weeping
'Cause a young man has been shot down in the cold
We go round & round in circles like a life without a purpose
If the questions are the answer, then the answers I don't know
If we can stop with all this chatter, focus on what really matters
Maybe someday we can reach a common goal
But the talking heads are screaming, and our leaders all self-dealing
What will it take to heal our Nation's soul???
V 2
We've been listening, to politicians lie
I wonder what it's gonna take to hear the truth just one more time
All across the great divide, there's a greater great divide
I wonder what's it gonna take to find the remnants of our pride
Pre
We all need to ask the question, about the need ask the question
But the questions aren't the answer, and the answers I don't know
CH 2
When I see families grieving their communities are weeping
'Cause their babies have been shot down at their school
We go round & round in circles like a life without a purpose
We can't decide how to rewrite foolish rules
If we can stop with all this chatter, focus on what really matters
Maybe someday we can reach a common goal
But the talking heads are screaming, and our leaders all self-dealing
What will it take to heal our Nation's soul???
I've been watching things from the corner of my eye
Sometimes it's just too hard to look straight on, I feel I might go blind
