Story Behind The Song

The self-deprecation... I can only really see out of one eye. My other eye has a "coloboma" which means my pupil is shaped like a keyhole and not much light gets through. The first part of this song was written in 2019, after a spell of terrible rainy weather in Denver. It's sort of a poor sax man's "Alabama" from John Coltrane. For the second part I messed around for a year with a few different approaches. None of them really worked. But the final product feels pretty cinematic and I like the contrast between the two parts.
