Song Description
This is the 3rd Movement of Daniel Wolff's Concerto for Clarinet and String Orchestra. It is marked "Allegro Ritmando". After a brief introduction, the unifying motif of the whole concerto is restated by the clarinet solo. The new twist is the accompaniment of the embellished solo line by the bass in a typical "baiao" Brazilian rhythm. This is characterized by a bouncy, syncopated dotted-rhythm. This tour-de-force comes to a rousing climactic close.
