Story Behind The Song

Like most of my tunes..I always think of a scene first...I walked into this club one night...it was, literally, underground...and, it was set up like a supper club complete with stage large enough for a 5-6 piece jazz combo and a sultry singer...it was completely empty..Upon entering the room I immediately pictured it in the 50's...smokey, sultry...with nightclub sounds...I picture a very plain woman entering this crowed, smokey club, focusing her gaze entirely on the sexy sax player who barely notices her...she walks to the stage and as she is walking through the room she is slowly transforming into a sexy, sultry, pouty nightclub singer.. She goes on stage, sings the song, the sax player finally notices her along with every other male in the room..and plays to her...as she finishes the song she decends the stage transforming back into the plain jane and exits the building leaving the sax player and the rest of the band wondering what the ---- just happened...I'd sell my soul to produce that music video...very very hot....for the right singer, this song is amazing...

Song Description

Although this version is more jazz in arrangement it would certainly work well put in the hands of a soul producer as a bleeding ballad. This is a straight forward "come hither" song..She wants him...really really wants him...This song requires very stong vocal chops and passion to portray the growing intensity of the feelings...the angst... needs a Whitney Houston kind of voice.
