Story Behind The Song
Originally written with the idea of Dodge Durango needing a commercial. I envisioned the truck rough riding somewhere out on the dusty plains, pulling up by a bunch of other Durangos as the driver passed the well-worn sign of "Durango Town".
Song Description
An update to "Come A Little Bit Closer" by Jay and the Americans except darker and more sinister, anchored by a minor key, snaky strings, and big acoustic strumming. After a night of dancing and drinking in the Mexican city of "Durango Town", our main character wakes up alone and bruised.

Lyrics
I woke up to find myself left outside
Here in the open
No words were spoken
When I arrived
Just hours before I was dancing
with some Senorita
Dying to meet her
On the floor
The music and motion could bring out some new found devotion
Unwanted commotion
From prying eyes
Taking my cues from those brandishing scarred reputations
It's not the occasion, place or time
Standing me up in the garden
Of fallen Lolitas
Wall flowers and screamers
The new deprived
Taking the pain on a walk
In the hopes to forget her
When I had met her
In Durango town
