Story Behind The Song
This song started as an improvisation that was later reworked into a piece. The emotional ebb and flow heard throughout is meant to pull at the heartstrings - like a love story from long ago that has a melancholy end. I drew a lot of inspiration from stories like The Haunting of Bly Manor - a beautiful, but terribly sad story.
Song Description
A haunting and beautiful piano piece that evokes a sense of longing and sadness. The A section opens the song with some intrigue and a memory of the past. Then the B section reflects on that memory - long-forgotten and sorrowful that it is over. The song is meant to be quiet and subtle, yet poignant and mysterious.
