THE ART OF LETTING GO© Earl.C.Webb 26/4/2014

First time I fell in love
It was so damn good
I felt my heart explode, into a thousand pieces
But I had to learn
You can't hold on to it
No matter how you try, that moment won't stay

And I looked for it, I searched for it, but I couldn't find it
It was there a while, and then it was gone
I looked far and wide, searched high and low, it never came back
Had to learn the art of letting it go

Had a Dad I loved
Meant the world to me
He was always there; thought he always would be
Then he passed away
And left a lonely girl
Another precious thing slips out of my life

And I'm reaching out, I'm trying to grab, but I never hold it
It slips right through my fingers like sand
And it's not what I want, it's out of my hands, I can't get it back
Got to learn the art of letting it go

It's the art of letting go
It's the art of letting go
It's the art of letting
The art of letting go

So right here and now
I ain't afraid of it
And for all that's gone, there's something else ahead
Just make the most of it
While you have the chance
'Cause if you blink your eyes, in a moment it's gone

You can look for it, search for it, but you'll never find it
It's here for a while, and then it's all gone
You look far and wide, search high and low, it'll never come back
Got to learn the art of letting it go

It's the art of letting go
It's the art of letting go
It's the art of letting
The art of letting go

Solo

You can look for it, search for it, but you'll never find it
It's here for a while, and then it's all gone
You look far and wide, search high and low, it'll never come back
Got to learn the art of letting it go

It's the art of letting go
It's the art of letting go
It's the art of letting
The art of letting go

First time I fell in love
It was so darn good
I felt my heart explode, into a thousand pieces
But I had to learn
You can't hold on to it
No matter how you try, it just won't stay.

Commercial sounding cross between R & B and pop, the song has solid vocals. The arrangement doesn't break any new ground, but it's solid, as are the instrumental performances. Good job overall.

Over all good song you got talent

Solid piece, good vocal, good instrumentation, nice variety, could compete with many artists of today.

Guitar riff during the verse is amazing. The tone and recording of your voice is amazing as well. The song grooves very well also. I love the space during the verse. Kind of a J-Lo thing going on here. It sounds like a song you would hear on top 40 radio

Very good song... I loved it. Shop this to a major rapper
