Story Behind The Song
This what I call a love trilogy. The music and the melody are the same, but the words in each of the three songs are different and the storytelling progresses. It's like a three-act play. This is Act Two.
Song Description
In Act One, he falls in love. In this Act Two, she abruptly moves on (like "The Wanderer"). But he follows her to the new place and begs her to return to him.

Lyrics
VERSE
From the bottom of my heart, I fell in love with you
You were like a great work of art; mysterious and new
You drew me way down deep inside the very depths of your soul
Then you took me for a ride; of my heart, you took control
First CHORUS
Once I was yours, you threw me away
And left this town for parts unknown
If you have a heart, it must be made of stone
Easy come, easy go, run away
VERSE
Bet you didn't think that I would hit the road to catch up with you
Just couldn't let you think that you could keep breakin' hearts like you do
And now that I have found you breakin' another heart like you did mine
I've seen enough to know for sure you must do it all the time
Repeat CHORUS
BRIDGE
But I want to be the one who loves you enough
To turn your heart of stone into love
Second CHORUS
Come on back, baby, can't you see
I just can't handle what you did to me
I want you to be mine and only mine
Easy come, easy stay, no run away
RIDE
Repeat Second CHORUS
TAG
Easy come, easy stay, no run away
