We hit a bit of a writer's block before coming up with "Don't Let me Go". Once we took a step back and really thought about some of the very real and relatable struggles that we have faced throughout our lives and that we suspect many others have faced while navigating the treacherous and unpredictable, yet somehow beautiful and incredible world of love and relationships, we were finally able to find the words to piece together a song that we hold close to our hearts and that we sincerely hope others can relate to.
First off both singers are excellent, not just because of the instrument they have but the way they both use it over a well produced commercially friendly track. I like the way that boy talks to girl and girl talks back and it feels genuine in terms of what and how they sing/speak to each other
Overall the track is well built and allows space for the song to build and grow, some neat sounds in the build of this and I really like what I think is a guitar that repeats through the back part of the track, subtle but so effective. The effects on the backing vocals are well placed and mixed
Song has a catchy hook with some good instrumental hooks, this is a professionally produced track. I enjoyed listening to this even though not my usual genre
