Busy Busy Lives Written By Col Stone October 2018
Busy busy lives that keep us apart, It's not nearly enough to have you in my heart,
I want you here by my side so I can see in your eyes what you feel, Hmmmm
Here by my side so I can see in your eyes what you feel Hmmmm
When my eyes opened I was thinking of you, were you still fast asleep,
Or were you stood in a queue? With your passport in hand as you wait for the man to wave you
through, and you head for another in a long line of queues and wait some more.
There's a man in a suit a white shirt and tie, has a card with your name that he's holding up high
And he speeds you away on the fast track that leads to your hotel. Hmmmmm
Later that night you call me on the phone, something told me that you were not alone
I lay awake on my own it was really worrying me
But I didn't call back just in case I might be wrong, in case I might be right or wrong. Hmmmmmm
You told me you'd quit things had gone too far, you are gonna stay with me
Stay right where we are. Yes of course I was pleased but even more relieved we were free.
I wasn't gonna ask too much as long as you would stay here with me. Hmmm
Busy busy lives that keep us apart, It's not nearly enough to have you in my heart,
I want you here by my side so I can see in your eyes what you feel, Hmmmm
Here by my side so I can see in your eyes what you feel Hmmmm
