Do That

Story Behind The Song

Most of this song was written in a hotel room on my electric un-amplified electric guitar and recorded in parts on my iphone. After trying it at rehearsal I finished the other sections for a complete thought and arrangement. Because of it's moving forward/positive feel, the song was titled Do That. I felt that it fit because title sounded motivating and full of accomplishment or desire for a better future. The recording of this song used a blend vintage instruments with modern gear for a new sound.

Song Description

This short instrument song called Do That is a groovy energetic song that features electric guitar, bass and Drums. It includes movement between key changes and even a short breakdown section that features the electric bass. The slightly distorted electric guitar picks a higher funky lick to start of the song and then rides low, grooving with the bass and the edgy drums. I think of it as a perfect highway song, high speed racing song, or exercise song.
