Story Behind The Song
Tim Schafer wrote the lyric as a poem and Blob_B requested SUNO to arrange it as a music hall number. The results were not that exciting so we reworked it together more in the style of Michael Buble with Blob_B's vocal clone, Gavin, taking the lead. Added some post production shizzle and this was the result.
Song Description
Table Tennis Pro annoyed to be told he plays "ping pong" when he has trophies etc. However age, family etc. takes its toll and he has to resign himself to "ping pong" in older age.

Lyrics
Oh you play 'ping pong' do you?
Cue indignant anger, cue pompous reply
they got it so wrong, I have to tell them why.
Not only are they belittling me,
but also the whole sporting community.
The hurt pride and scoffing,
Don't they know what this game is?
All those hours of practice and drills,
Learning the art of Table Tennis.
The forehand Loops and spin serving,
Moving effortlessly from defence to attack,
Drop shots, heavy chopping and smashing,
Top spinning with a touch of side to make them crack.
Oh no, It's 'table tennis' to me, playing competitively up to the age of 43,
Winning singles and doubles awards, moving to the top of the tree,
Playing for my county, the highlight of my career,
Sod Ping pong, It's table tennis for ever....
Knees, work and family forced my long break,
Till I picked up my bat again at the age of fifty eight.
I still had some old balls,
But in between time they changed the rules,
And now their all too small.
Much like my old shorts and shirts!
I play at the U3A now, only once a week,
I've still got the timing,
Like riding a bike, you never forget.
Once a week it gets me out, so many friends I have gained.
We only play doubles, and we play just for fun.
Which is a very good job, as my knees are so pained!
My anger at the word 'ping pong',
was strangely very strong.
Why did I get so upset, and feel the need to right a wrong?
Now I play for Joy, I have no reason to be coy,
Sod table tennis, It's ping pong from now on!
