Story Behind The Song
Angelica Cassidy actually got this song from her father, Bob Chitwood. He wrote the original country version in 2008, and Angelica rewrote it into a folk lullaby pop song, and changed a few lyrics to fit her narrative for her television show "Rollercoaster". The song "Tonight" comes in episode 6, season 1, and is a sad and somber heartbreaking song. Her love interest has left her at this point, and she sings of her sorrows into the night, just waiting til the morning comes... "Tonight, I need your arms to hold me close and not let go..." It tells a story of the demise of the relationship, and is sure to bring tears to the listeners eyes. "How could you leave, without me.." it's a cry out to her lover. You can feel the sadness and desperation in the vocal performance, and also the lyrics, and it leaves you with her wishing for the night to end.

Lyrics
Tonight
By Angelica Cassidy and Bob Chitwood
V1
Tonight, I need your arms
To hold me close and not let go
To take me by the hand
Pull me in let it begin
That's all I need, that's all I need
V2
Tonight, don't misunderstand
I mean well, can't you tell
But I am lost at sea
How could you leave, without me?
Is that all I need? Is that all I need?
Chorus
I don't know if that's all I need
I don't know if that's all I need
Tonight
V3
Tonight, if you think of me
When you're alone and on your own
Where do you think I'll be
Up and gone and moving on
That's not what I need, that's not what I need
Chorus
I don't know if that's all I need
I don't know if that's all I need
I just know that you're all I need
Tonight
Ending
Tonight, I can't wait until the sun comes up
And it is not tonight
