Story Behind The Song

This song was written quite a few years ago. I (Jason), was asked to play at a wedding and wanted to develop a nice soft instrumental song to play before the ceremony began. Edge Of Forever is the result. The feeling I wanted to convey through the music was how our lives are filled with so many choices. There are times when we must make a decision that we know will change our life in a definite way. Whether it is getting engaged, or getting married, or having children, or maybe whether a high school graduate will or will not go to college. Edge Of Forever gets its name from realizing that some decisions will affect us for the rest of our lives so we must take care to make the best choices we can. I always envisioned a man standing at a crossroads, waiting patiently yet knowing that he must make a choice, and in the end hoping that he makes the right one.

Edge Of Forever is a melody driven song with a piano dominated beginning. It builds in dynamics towards a very powerful guitar solo that ends the song.
