Zisle the street musician - guitar version

Story Behind The Song

Zisl did not die in Auschwitz. Luckily he escaped to USA before the outbreak of WWII. He settled in Manhattan New York where he worked hard in the clothing industry and made a lot of money. He bought himself a beautiful guitar. One night he sat on the balcony of his apartment, overlooking Ellis Island. He reflected for a moment while gazing far into the distance. He picked up his fancy guitar and strummed the melody he once played in Poland. The stars were bright...the melody filled the summer night's air...and it spread from Manhattan to the sleepy streets of Staszow.
