Shelley is an award winning (CMT 2004 songwriters award) singer/songwriter. She performs, co-writes and records out of Nashville. Her first staff deal was with Hyland Hills Music in Nashville. She is currently writing non-exclusively for Fox's media group in L.A.

Her energetic performing edge is tempered by warm vocals and emotional arrangements. Her songs reflect an innate knack of turning feelings into notes, memories into chords and dreams into rhythms.

She has opend for "rock legends "Foreigner", "Three Dog Night" and was also asked to open for "Joe Cocker".

Shelley has earned the respect of her peers in the songwriting community of Nashville where she co-writes with top name writers including: Roger Cook ( “Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress”, “I’d Like To Teach The World To Sing”) Benita Hill ( “It’s Your Song” & “Two Pina Colodas” ) ,Joie Scott (wrote the #1 song for Collin Raye “Not That Different”), Dwight Liles, and Sandy Ramos ( "The Dixie Chicks").

Local songwriter scores big with Nashville
Thunder Bay – Singer/Songwriter, Shelley Jacobson has landed a prestigious award that places her talent along side the best in North America. She has placed in the final five in the CMT / Nashville Songwriters Association (NSAI) Song Contest. The win gives the writer a promotional push with Industry insiders for her co-write with Karina Long “You’re That To Me”. Shelley is an award winning (CMT award) singer/songwriter that resides in Canada, but frequently performs, co-writes and records out of Nashville. She signed her first staff writing deal with "Hyland Hills Music" in Nashville.

She signed with the Fox Network in Apr 2006, writing, recording and producing material for their network. (Work For Hire). She is currently negotiating with VIACOM to provide material for their media sites with the former FOX team she was signed with in 2006.
