Solover Bio
About Solover Music:
Solover music was formed in 2004 by Scott Oliver, a gospel music veteran musician, director, writer, arranger and trainer. Oliver was a classically trained pianist from age 4 to age 12 and also played the clarinet and saxophone in high school. Oliver learned to play by ear at age 18 and developed those skills at Western Illinois University, where he was a musician for The Echoes of Grace and The Heritage Ensemble. Oliver was the first musician for The North Central College Gospel Choir in 1989 and 1990. Oliver began to play for several churches and groups in Chicago, Illinois between 1989 and 1996, culminating in being organist and vocal trainer for Michael Ford and New Joy for their CD project, "New Joy."
Oliver also co founded and organized Reba Praise and was their first musician and trainer. They took those lessons and recorded their debut cd project, "Gospel Journey" in 2006.
The songwriting abilities began for Oliver in 2004 with a gospel song called, "The Glory of God." Oliver continued to develop his skills for the next 3 years in the genres of Contemporary and Traditional Gospel, Christian Contemporary and Adult Contemporary. Solover Music was started in 2007 with its purpose to share the gift God has given to him with the world and give opportunities to those talented enough to record but never had the opportunity. Oliver endeavors to continue to grow and develop on his initiative in making known his musical gifts.
