Description: Driven by the death of his young wife to breast cancer and his love for their three children, Terry was determined to accomplish the impossible. Although Terry had lost his executive level job shortly after his wife's funeral, Terry seized on an idea. In 1996, this fifty-seven year old ran from Saint Paul, Minnesota to Atlanta, Georgia to draw attention to the lives of real everyday heroes, especially parents and children of single parent families. Terry ran a distance of over 2,000 miles and accomplished it by running the equivalent of 1 marathon every day for 75 consecutive days. He arrived in Atlanta for the opening ceremonies of the 1996 Summer Olympics. Terry Hitchcock's story is one of love and passion; a single father raising his three kids among challenges and heartache, with the unbelievable conclusion of this ordinary father beating all odds and accomplishing the impossible.
