Tall, Dark and handsome............ I'm a third generation musician/singer/songwriter. My grandfather was one of the "Law Brothers", who were signed to small deals, had a few records and gigged out with many famous acts including Johnny Cash, June Carter, Earnest Tubbs to name a few.

That tradition carried right down to my mom and both uncles who traveled around the U.S. performing with their band "The Southern Wheels". One of my uncles (my moms brother) moved on to tour with Charlie Pride as a back up singer all through the 80's and even co-wrote a song with my Dad who was charlies steel guitarist, titled "Fall back on me" that Charlie cut and used.

I've been singing since I was two, picked up guitar at the age of 8 and started writing song at about 12-13. I've entered a few contests in my life and always made it to the finals, including Nashville Star. I'm currently working on my debut album, singing and playing wherever I can and looking for a decent Record deal

With his dynamic vocal range, easy-going manner and sincere charm, Danny Lee Dunn brings his own unique blend of contemporary country, rock and soul. Drawing from diverse influences such as Ronnie Milsap, K-Ci and Jojo, Kenny Chesney, and The Steve Miller Band, Dunn has developed his sound through performing live, and honing his craft of songwriting for more than a decade.

Born in the summer of 1983, Dunn seemed destined for a life of music. Preceded by three generations of musicians and songwriters, he was no black-sheep to the traditions of his family. His earliest musical influences were his parents, grandfather and uncles who had all been involved in songwriting and performing in the Nashville music scene.

After he was taken to purchase his first guitar, for his seventh birthday, Dunns young passion drove his hands to practice day and night. Within months, he could play well enough to accompany his own vocals. Around the age of 12, he began writing his own songs, learning basics of various musical instruments and experimenting in the recording studio. As time passed, this passion grew stronger. His musical skills and appreciation, of all genres, continued to develop throughout his high school years. Along with being actively involved in organized sports, Dunn sang in the choir, performed in talent shows and even played drums for a (short-lived) grunge-rock garage band. Yet, his heart never strayed from his roots, and first love, Country music.

After graduation, Dunn worked on various local recording and band projects, including demo work for major studios in the metro Detroit area. He performed in and out of Michigan and hosted a weekly songwriters night at Francois, a cozy venue in Downtown Kalamazoo. Dunn began placing and winning in various singer/songwriting competitions, including USA Networks series, Nashville Star. Dunn took the win at one, of only twenty-six, competitions held at the regional level. This allowed him to compete at the finals round. The event generated news and media coverage in the West Michigan area, creating a buzz that helped to gain a solid local following.

Immediately after his win, Rock Mangus, founder of the Mission of Hope Cancer Foundation, invited Dunn to join a select group of country performers who facilitate benefit concerts, raising money for cancer awareness. Danny accepted, graciously, and embraced the experience of using his talents for a greater good. Soon, Dunn caught the interest of local investors who offered to help him begin recording his first album with Nashville producer, Greg Cole. In June of 2007, the commute from Michigan to Tennessee became enough of an inconvenience for Dunn to make the move to Nashville.

While in Nashville, Dunn began learning the ropes of the music scene, and quickly teamed up with a small management company. Dunn formed his first Nashville based band that traveled in and out of Nashville. He attended numerous writers nights, and performed at venues such as the world famous Wild horse Saloon, Tootsies on Broadway and The Nashville Palace. In September of 2008, Dunn finished his self titled freshman album that included a collaboration of songs Written by himself, and hit songwriters Connie Harrington, Brett Beavers and Danny Lee Dunn Sr.

In the Spring of 2010, Dunn teamed up with Michigan based Indie label Vulcan Records, New management and the internationally recognized agents of Zank Enterprises while Gearing up for his National tour with up and coming band Copper Hollow.

Dunn's latest single "Enjoy the Dancefloor" landed at #73 It's first week on the European charts, covering 20 Countries. With expectations his single will climb to the top, it is set to be released soon in the US and UK.

Currently, When Dunn is not in the studio, you can catch him performing weekly at various venues on the well known "Broadway".
