Thank you for the stars on my songs, March of The Ants and That Ol' Barn. I appreciate it.
Still kickin is a happy song! Enjoyed the harmonica at the beginning. You have a good beat in most of your songs I have heard. Hope all is well with your other pastime looking after the friend's little one!
Hi Jim! Thank you so much for your kind comment. I sincerely appreciate that. And yes, that little one gives my life meaning and purpose and fills my days with light and love.
That was nice of you to give The Promise (Piano Solo) 5 stars and Add to your Playlist! I just thought that when I was humming the tune I created for The Promise, it stood by its own merit, so I created a piano only, Ensemble, Orchestral and one of the most stirring versions, with the Uilleann Pipes and Piano! Very Celtic!!! Glad you enjoyed it.
Really appreciate the Stars for my two songs, "I See Her Dancing" and "Dear Jane"! Nice to see you include them on your Playlist! I still like a story!!! It's my trademark! Awaiting my guitarist having time to work on my latest Country No. (ballad). Yes, it is another story! I have a melody but I think I need someone who is steeped in Country to give it a genuine Country acceptance! What's new with your music?
Thank you, also, for the 5-star rating on my song, That Ol' Barn! I love a good story, as well, and have written many a story song, myself. Jim, I am taking a break from music at the moment. Since I retired, my life has become so busy with other endeavors that I have not had any time or inclination to work on anything new. I will occasionally write a lyric or poem as I'm inspired, but those occasions have been rare as I have found tremendous fulfillment with my involvement in the life of a friend's 2-year-old child. She is the light of my life and has been the inspiration for a few children's songs and lullabies I've written. She has her very own lullaby which works very well when I hum it to her. This child's life, experience, growth and development has taken priority over everything else in my life and all I can do for the time being is let it take me wherever it will on this new and wonderful journey.
Sounds like my granddaughter! I am slightly similar in situation. You cannot beat a one to one relationship with a child you hold dear! Enjoy the fulfilment! I am awaiting my guitarist creating the music for my latest completed song, but I am similar to you in that I do not have any more near completion so I will have a timeous rest from it all for a while. I hope my creativity in the future achieves at least the same level as my complete works so far! No guarantees! Enjoy your new found priority! Warmly, jim
Hi Fulsom and friends, "That ol' Barn" is so easy to listen to and I just love a Story! One of those songs which sucks you in till the end! You don't want it to finish! It should be on a big named Artists Album! Really nice! Lovely vocals young man! I can hear a potential, strong, upbeat Country hit coming! 12/10 and Stars a must! Your Storytelling is akin to my latest, "I See Her Dancing"!
Thank you for your kind words. I sincerely appreciate it. I will listen to your song and gave it 5 stars. Great writing and production! Again, thank you for your comments.
I just love Don't Take My Dog. If you love dogs, you'll love this track. Even if you're not a dog fan, you'll like how the melody sticks in your head.
Wow! Another breathtakingly beautiful vocal blend!
For which song?
The Promise. Strange that they provide a frame for comment above each video, but not keep the comment attached to that video.
Same after listening to a song. I have learned to name the song at the beginning when making comment! Thankyou for support! Jim
I listened to each of your videos and I am particularly impressed with the talents of your vocalist, Kimberly Dunn. I wish you all the very best with your musical endeavors.
Kimberley Dunn .com will reveal all. Kim has my song "The Promise" on her site to offer clients at End of Life Ceremonies, (Funeral Nusic) alongside 5 Classics, Ave Maria, you raise me Up, Wonderful World, Hallelujah, Pachaebels canon! Popular because of its so relevant lyrics
Indeed, she has a very impressive resume. I feel truly blessed to have heard her voice through your music.
If I am honest, I do not hear her singing as emotionally in other songs I have heard her sing. Maybe i am bias! Unfortunately, Kim is working in another direction with her music. She is compiling an Album from her own studio and working at official functions, Weddings, Funerals etc. I found her on Fiverr at onset of Covid Lockdown but she suspended her account there six months ago to concentrate on her own music and outlets! A massive shame! I had written a song specifically for her which was set in her town but alas I am changing it slightly for another artist! It is an Epic Tale kind of song. I like a good story! A bit like Leonard's, "Joan of Arc"!
Oh, that sounds cool. I would love to hear it when it is completed.
It will be too long to be commercial but I write what I like! When I have enough songs I suppose I can call them an Album!
There's nothing wrong with that. I've composed a number of instrumentals, lullabies and other non-commercial pieces just to get the music that's locked up inside of me out.
Completely understand!
BTW, thank you so much for the 5-star rating on my song, Down the Backroads.
Genuinely on Merit!
A hauntingly beautiful blend of vocals and harmonies! A perfect fit for the message within the lyrics.
Appreciate the words from an accomplished Artist!
I finally got the chance to watch your video, Reach The Sky. Very nicely done. The song is very well-produced. The singing and musicianship are both top grade! Thank you for sharing with me the beautiful sentiments of nature and God's creation.
Mutual congrats for your videos!
Down the Backroads Video was a pleasure to watch. A really good Country rhythm and sound. Video brings the song to life when you relate song to what you see! If it wasn't so cold here in Scotland, I would take my car top down and turn up the volume of your song as I sped along our lovely countryside! A swinging Number with a memorable Chorus!
Thank you so much for your kind words, Jim. We had a lot of fun putting the song and the video together. Most of it is right around where I live. Thank you again for your kind compliments.
Can I just ask, if the video takes as much memory as a video of still pics?
Even though you would think that a slideshow of still pictures would take less memory than the constant movement in a video, there doesn't seem to be much difference in file size at all.
Really appreciate five stars for Drift Away (Ensemble) Hope you enjoyed it, David! Good New Year to you all!
I love your rendition of Drift Away. I will be listening to more of your music as the holidays subside. Thank you for the 5 stars on my song. I look forward to further interaction with you. Happy New Year.
You look a happy bunch! Making music must be fun there! More people to bounce ideas off each other! Hope it's a great Musical New Year for you! My second video, "Reach The Sky" may be more up your street for singing! Feel Free!
Hey there Folsom & Friends, listening to your song, "You, You, You", great tune! 5 Stars & Likes! Would really like to connect with you on Broad Jam Buddies, we have similar ideas in song themes! The Corey's.............
Just an absolutely great song! "How Was I Supposed To Know" is what music should sound like.
Thank you so much, Nan. I appreciate your kind words. Likewise, you have some excellent songs, pristine production quality and great potential. I wish you the very best of success.

Hello, My name is Bob Levoy, and I am a U.S. Navy Veteran and music and concert reviewer. I have written over 3500 reviews since the 1980s for my blog Oasis Entertainment and for independent record labels, PR firms, festivals, venues and bands. I write reviews for all genres, except for hip hop, which is not my cup of tea. In addition to all the independent labels and artists that I have been writing reviews for, I am currently an Author on Staff at Virtuosity Worldwide Arts & Entertainment Magazine, a subsidiary of Virtuosity Worldwide LLC. I write music reviews and do concert and festival interviews and reviews for their magazine. I will still write reviews for my independent artists and labels in addition to the work I will be doing for Virtuosity Worldwide. I do reviews in the following priority: 1. Vinyl (I prefer signed if available) 2. CD's (I also review older releases) 3. Digital Download 4. Streaming only if I don't have any of the above on my desk which is very rare. Streaming takes too much time and some cases with songs running together I am unable to tell one song from another. I would also be interested in reviewing your bands music and reviewing your live performance if you are ever in my area. I do not ask for pay for my reviews, I only ask for either a signed Vinyl or CD and an X-large t-shirt that I wear to promote the bands. You can contact me at one of the links below. Plus, I would love the opportunity to get my vinyl signed the bands.
