Hello There,
I am Dennis A singer/songwriter from NY in the U.S. who is hoping to get some plays and feedback on my 25 years of music I am uploading called 'Lost @ Sea' with many, many songs that will be added throughout the next couple months that should be a great combo of style and subject matter with the array of many musicians I have worked with throughout the years. thank you for your time and I do hope that a song may reach your ears and straight to your heart. That is what it is all about :)

Yours Truly,
Dennis Clifton

I am trying to realize a concept that I call the 'Little Band'.
I want my recordings to sound like you are right in the middle of the band with the immediate ambient sound as it's created. As dry as possible with just a touch of room echo and no gimmicks like AutoTune.
I want a real sound rather than a sterile studio sound.
So much music today is so slick and digitally produced that the human presence is missing.
I want to hear wood vibrating and fingers squeaking on strings and people breathing.
I prefer the continuity of tape over the ones and zeros, something or nothing, of the digital world.
For me it's warm versus cold, real flavor over artificial.
My music is for and about people.
I'm going for soul to soul communication.
Ideally I would prefer to record analog but for now it's all digital.
I am trying this concept in all my music going forward.
Listen to 'Don't Let Your Water Run Dry' and 'Goodnight,Margherita'.
Feedback is always appreciated from the Broadjam Legion.Thanks.cb

I've been working in a more 'woody' format lately using all acoustic instruments over a heavier back beat (check out 'Sugarboy'). I like the natural separation of the acoustic guitars, mandolin, harmonica and drums. The electric bass and the kick drum are mixed right up to the lead vocal. Just experimenting here. Send me some feedback on this approach.Thanks.cb

Thanks for the generous review of Sugarboy. That song and others are part of a new project that is in the works with fellow Broadjammer Sam Masiello.

Nashville Joe- Thank you for your generous review of my song Come On Home. Broadjam is a great place for songwriters to test drive their work.
Best of luck in your career.cb
