Hi John! Your comments and scores on "But I Don't Know" and "Fantasy Time" were hilariously low, actually the worst ever! Both songs rarley fall below 48/50. Both have been playing in Europe for over 20 years, and recently in London. They were recorded in Elvis' old studio in Memphis with members of Black Oak Arkansas and The Memphis horns. Also, if all you have to say is "nothing in particular", do you really think you are helping the writer at all? Please have the courtesy to explain to the songwriter what or how they could improve the song in your own (way out of bounds) opinion. I'm trying to help you here my friend in hopes you won't decimate others down this wary musical road. Also, John, your songs sound pretty cool! Good Luck! Catnip Pat=+=
Patrick - I must apologize - We had a family friend visiting our home - He is an accomplished musician - He asked if he could check out the latest from this site - I logged him in and he played a lot of my songs - He took it a bit further obviously - Now I'm curious, and I want to listen to your songs - I will also reach out to him and ask him about "But I Dom't Know" and "Fantasy Time" - Thank You
Thanks for the review of "Gotta Find Me A Woman"! This song made my band "Tarbaby February" famous in the 70's and we wound up touring with Eric Carmen and the Raspberries as a result of it! It eventually went International! As a newbie I would offer you be a little more kind in your grading in the future! Good Luck from Florida! Catnip Pat=+=#
Ms Kate! Thanks for the review of "But I Don't know". I don't know how you knew it was me you sly fox! Did that in Memphis with members of Black Oak Arkansas. Always a scream to hear from you! Hope you're not too chilly up there in Indiana! Just got word from a D J in London they are playing my song " My head's in a good place", from my old Crybaby band, it's on You Tube! Please check it out when you have time! Catnip
I think you're gonna have to send me a link, Pat, because I could not find the song on YouTube. Mrs. Kate
Chet! Many thanks for the 5 stars on Gotta find me a woman. Done in 1972 and made my band "Tarbaby" famous around Tallahassee and the Southeast for 5 years. I was 23 living in the country and that record was a taste of what true success was like! Always an extreme pleasure when you surface my friend! Pat

Thanks for reviewing my tune, "Firefly"! I love your stuff, it's so refreshing to hear all actual, organic, real instruments. There appears to be nothing digital on your recordings at all (I wish I could say the same, but I can't play drums :-)
THANKS FOR THE STELLER REVIEW OF "I DONT KNOW" JOHN I DID THAT IN MEMPHID TENNEESSEE WITH MEMBERS OF BLACK OAK ARKANSAS A WHILE BACK ALWAS A PLEASURE TO HEAR FROM YOU MY FRIEND! PAT
Ahoy John! Thanks a million for the great score on "But I Don't Know"! I did that in Memphis with members of "Black Oak Arkansas"! I was in the control room laughing when the two guitar players smoked the place up with some of those cool licks!! Even Michael Stewert, the producer from England got a lick in! To this day my favorite recording session! Hope You're Doing Great John! Later! Pat
Hey, Pat! I love that song! What a wonderful memory! It's one of those that just stands out among the cluster. Another that has a simple philosophy and is an absolutely great song is Scott Jordan's (Ravensong) "Circles." But anyway, I loved reading about your recollection of that recording session. I listened to it again. Very enjoyable and most certainly a keeper. Yep, things are really nice over here. We moved to Yucaipa, California, and we love the hills, lots of trees, and cooler and much more relaxed than Phoenix.
Hello My Musical Friend! Thank for the review of "Gunther" Chet! I did that a while back in Memphis with members of "Black Oak Arkansas" To get a rating like that from you makes me happy! You are a dynamic powerhouse and that just keeps soaring! What a Great mentor to have for any songwriter or artist! All The Best From Florida! Pat

Congrats on your tv placements Warren! Nice Win! Nice to get a bite of the good stuff! England is tops! Very cool! For some reason my stuff has gone well over there since 1993! Yesterday I got a text from "Hampus" in London! He found my old record from the Crybaby band in 1976 and wants to play it on his radio show in London! Ha! Wonders never cease! All the Finest! catnip=+=
Many thanks Pat and congrats to you as well! Wonders never cease! Cheers Warren
Enjoyed Happy Man went back and read the lyrics! Great! catnip =+=
Had a good one this week! Hampus from London came across my old record "My Head's in a Good Place" from my old Crybaby Band and wants a copy to give to his DJ friends and play it on his radio show! London! Ha! Google it!
Great news Pat.
Hey Pat thanks for the positive and very useful review of "I can play the blues forever" I keep hearing a great blues harp in this one but lack the skills to do it myself but that just might be the break that you were talking about. Thanks again and keep on jammin my friend. Scott
Thanks Scott! It's great that we musicians can offer a different angle on some things. I've been blissfully helped by things I've learned by others that have helped my music prosper. This is one of the best things about BJ and continues to one of the coolest adventures around! Take care and Let the Music flow like a River! catnip=+=
Another good one on Future Generations! Love the Sound effects at beginning and end! Sweet! Keep Crankin Bro! catnip=+=
Hey Thanx Pat..."Happy New YEAR" to you & family! I was getting worried about you! I sent you an email on 12-06-24...and saw you haven't read it yet!? Maybe you don't use the email!? Anyway...I sent it giving you a thank you on another BG tune! I think it's important that you know BroGreede came to an immediate halt when my brother passed in 2001. 6 years later my other bandmate passed as well. A real double whammy which rocked my world! There's only 3 reasons I remain on Bjam: to keep the memory of my brother and other band mate alive, listen to music & appreciate all the talent and to make a few friends along the way. I'm carrying the torch you would say! I'm not on Bjam for any other reason! Amen! My brother put us on Bjam in 2001...now going on 24 years!! I continue on in my own way. I have a drummer now who has joined me and I'm hoping to get back to some recording of tunes I've had on the back burner for many many years! Probably go in some different directions from BroGreede! Wish us some luck. Thanx for listening-that's all that matters to me!! Wishing you continued musical success-put more of your music on the review que-so I can give you some nice grades!! Tony Z
Hey Pat...you listened to BG's "Annabelle"....the offbeat you are referencing especially in the intro is a progressive meter. (10)..which I would'nt think you would be familiar. 4/4 meter is very basic in most music especially of the past and definitely not in the progressive genre. Most Rock is written in common time and is predictable and gets boring! I love playing in odd meters because it can be challenging, takes a special ear and skill and can add flavor & attitude in progressive music!! Thanx for giving a listen!! TZ
Sorry Pat I made a big mistake...my brother passed in 2011-not 2001!.Sorry!! TZ
Hi Marvin! Thx for the high scores on "Gunther" I did that in Memphis, Tennessee with two guitar players from Black Oak Arkansas a while back. I was 26 at the time and had to borrow the money to go to Memphis but it paid off in spades! ps have enjoyed your stuff for a long time! Happy Chestnuts! catnip=+=
