Blueroot, a band comprised of five dedicated music lovers, was formed in the fall of 2000. After writing and rehearsing numerous songs, they were well on their way to stardom, playing gigs from Ventura to Hollywood.
These hard working musicians on the rise won first place in the band category at the October 2000, Moorpark College Talent Show.
Earning enough money from the talent show and a few local gigs, Blueroot recorded their first six-song EP, “In the Hi-Fi”. This demo was released March 16, 2001. It was well received by a responsive audience at the Whisky A Go-Go.
While maintaining high energy performances and releasing their “Hi-Fi” demo, the quintet has been able to dazzle crowds at night spots throughout California, and build a solid fan base that keeps on growing.
