Bio

Blondestreak fits nicely on the shelf between Liz Phair and No Doubt.

Lyricist and lead singer - Victoria Clamp is a singing veteran with the Tom Tom Club and has performed worldwide and on national TV with them.

She intimately reveals her real world experiences, one moment singing about God, then in the next moment about her homicidal wishes or her girl-girl attractions.

The previous CD "Saturn's Child" has charted in CMJ's top 30 and has independently worked its way onto commercial radio playlists. The single, "MaryAnne," combines lush harmonies with a simple yet irresistible guitar hook. The song captures the innocent yearning for an old friend, compounding it with an urban urgency that makes this tune one that college radio has jumped on.

Blondestreak has embraced the Internet with a strong presence. The group's previous effort - "Saturn's Child" made it onto MP3.com's list of favorite NYC bands. In 1999, Saturn's Child landed a finalist position on 'TheUns'- a national Internet contest sponsored by 7UP and Sonicnet/MTV. Since June 2000, they landed 3 songs as top finalists on garageband.com with "Poptart" reaching #4 last month on this chart of favorite songs by unsigned artists worldwide. Most recently, their song "Breathe" was featured in some ESPN 2004 NHL Playoff Promos and "Spreading My Wings" is the theme of ABC and ESPN's WNBA 2005 Season!
