Story Behind The Song
This is a song that came out of a single phrase that I said while playing at a college in Denmark. I was giving one of my little talks and happened upon something that got me thinking. Danes are known for keeping a cool outside while the inside is on fire. There is an old Russian legend of a man who stole a fox. He stuffed it in his jacket though it struggled frantically to escape. He was, however, soon caught and questioned about the theft yet calmly denied knowing anything about it, even while the fox was tearing out his stomach inside the jacket.

Lyrics
We Live Inside
(P. Springman, M. Roe)
Come back to life somehow
I pray for you in words I never knew 'till now
Like mine your soul in pain
You stumble holding to the hands of fate and gain
Though your undecided choice is made
My confidence in love won't change
We live inside (the place we're given)
We run and hide (to the end we're driven)
We fill our eyes (still un-fulfilling)
We love the lies (and each one killing)
Live inside
We live inside
We grew like slender weeds
From our youth God formed the life in you and me
And I'd give it all in trade
For the moment when you sold your heart away
Where on earth can you hide the one
Who knows deep inside everything you've done
(Chorus)
You are a part of me
Even though right now you're far apart from me
The crumbs from my table have barely kept you alive
And now you're starved inside
Though your undecided choice is made
My love for you will never change
(chorus)
