Story Behind The Song
PJ Penton and I were connected through a 'blind date for songwriter co-writes' at www.SongU.com. Paul had this idea floating in his head, and MP3'd it to me. We took the exercise to the highest level, and produced what we believe to be a hit...and all this from across the ocean, and 17 hours time difference (he's in Australia, and I'm in California).
Song Description
This guy is driving home, lonely, when he flips thru the dial on the radio and hears a love song dedication show. He is moved and decides to call in a dedicate a song to himself to ease his sadness over his girl who is gone. Low and behold, he hears her on the radio, lonely and missing him. So he calls in again....but this time to request a song for her.

Lyrics
VERSE 1
Late night driving home
Listening to the radio
Love song request show on the air
A boy from Idaho
Sending out a quick hello
To a girl who waits back there
PRE 1
As I pull into my lonely driveway
I wish someone was missing me
CH 1
Play me a love song dedication
It's a remedy for a heart that's breaking
And maybe it's what I really need
There's a world of love that I used to know
I wanna hear it comin' out the radio
It might be the greatest love I nevet see
Play a love song dedication for me
VS2
This house is a ghost ship
Floating on a sea of memories
Happier times float by me like the wind
I punch in the numbers
Lining up for my chance
To tell my story once again
PRE 2
The DJ knows my voice so well
And the story I've got to tell
CH 1 (as before)
BR
I hear his voice across the static
Familiar but somehow distant
She says he lost someone a long time ago
I'm picking up the phone
CH 2
Play him a love song dedication
It's the boy I love, if I'm not mistaken
And maybe I'm the one that he still needs
There's a world of love that we used to know
And if he hears me calling on the radio
He might find a reason to believe
In a love song dedication from me
