Story Behind The Song
The Phil Morrison Trio featuring Keith Williams was performing in Matsumoto, Japan which is where the International Center for the Suzuki Method of teaching music is located. On this recording, string players who were students at the school, performed beautifully as they took part in what was a unique experience for them, to play a piece written and arranged within the Jazz genre. Trumpeter, Eddie Davis and saxophonist, Don Erdman added their Jazz oriented talents to the mix along with Japanese musicians on shakuhachi/Seido Watanabe, koto/Kuniko Watanabe and drums/Satoshi Muramatsu pursuing the Mission Statement of the World Unity Jazz Ensemble.."Striving to be of Service to Humanity by Promoting International Harmony through Music!
