Story Behind The Song
We started a charity in our ministry called "Bien Aime" because of the severe needs of orphans world wide.
This song is dedicated to them.
Song Description
I was watching TV one day and saw the starvation of orphans world wide and said "God are you watching this? Why don't you do something"? He said "why don't you".
That's when I realized we have the ability to do something and He is asking us to.

Lyrics
FATHER ARE YOU LISTENING
Prayer for the orphans
Music by John Cole Tatum © 1993
Lyrics by John and Rebecca Tatum

Father are You listening?
Oh, I need to know
What about the children?
Oh, I love them so
Father now I'm listening?
When everything is safe and sound
It's easy to know Your love
But hardship everywhere is found
Seems so much harder now
Real life is complicated
Our faith it tries to stray
Well, You know all situations
I wanna find a way
Father are You listening? ---To meet me
Father are You listening to me?
What about the children? ---Please bless me
Let me help them know Your love is real
Father I am listening? ---They're weeping
Father I am willing please send me?
What about the children? ---Please bless them
Let me help them know Your Son is real
Father, these are children
That's what I cry at night
They need some place to stay
You know that things aren't going right
In their lives
We've talked before
But now it's hurting more
That's why I'm here
Father are You listening? ---To lead me
Father are You listening to me?
What about the children? ---Please bless me
Let me help them know Your love is real
Father I am listening? ---To lead them
Father I am willing please send me?
What about the children? ---Please bless them
Let me help them know Your Son is real
Father can You hear me?
Jesus bring them near to Thee
Let me hear You
Let me near You
Can You hear my cry?
No, no I'll never ask You why
Tell me Lord can you hear them cry
Jesus ask some of us to try
