Story Behind The Song

I was scrolling through pinterest one day looking at songwriting prompts and one of them said "Write a song NOT about a boyfriend and a girlfriend because every song is about that these days." So being the person that I am, I'm not very good at following all the rules when it comes to music so I wrote a song about a boyfriend and a girlfriend! This song is entitled Beautiful soul and it's about my best friend and her then boyfriend, now fiancé. My best friend has been through more than any young woman should ever have to experience, but through her strength and the love from the people around her, she overcame the trials she experienced and grew into an incredible girl with a beautiful soul. The perspective of this song is me singing to her boyfriend, telling her story and thanking him for walking right by her side.
