Story Behind The Song
After my attempt to compose a pop song, using someone else's lyrics (from the Belgium contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2012), I was very lucky to get the amazing singer Alaina Nelson, who rendered the melody and words beautifully with her interpretation. Broadjam fellow Thierry Coupey then came up with a lot of new ideas how the melody could be embedded with a more current instrumentation and accompaniment. A new version and very inspiring collaboration was born.
Song Description
The Indie International Songwriting contest 2017 says about this song:
"As with the Symphonic version of the same song, I find the music overall very fresh and quirky. It stands out and attracts the ear.
The composition is working well, in that it's got a fresh, surprising approach and lots of unexpected twists. Obviously the composer and musicians have serious skills."
