Begun in 2014, genre-spanning Russian band The Skylift refuse to let themselves be boxed in. After releasing their devastating debut single "Giving In To Darkness" - featuring catchy vocal melodies on loan from rising Swedish alternative rock band Normandie - they spent the next few years exploring sounds more akin to movie scores, both of the aggressive, rock variety and a more somber, yet hopeful approach. The Moscow-based trio are currently working on more music designed for film and television.
